Pro Tips For Playing The App WiFi 7 Check: WiFi 6E & 6

Does your phone support WiFi 7? WiFi Check tells you which WiFi standards your phone or tablet truly supports — WiFi 4, WiFi 5, WiFi 6, WiFi 6E, and WiFi 7 (802.11be) — without ever guessing from your device model.

Unlike other WiFi checkers, WiFi Check never relies on a stale list of phone models. Every answer is verified by Android's own APIs or by your real WiFi connections. If we cannot verify a standard yet, we say so honestly — and we tell you what to do to find out.

WHAT YOU GET
• Verified WiFi 7 (802.11be) detection on supported Android 13+ devices
• WiFi 6E and 6 GHz band verification, with helpful hints for Samsung's hidden 6 GHz toggle
• A live "router bottleneck" hint: if your phone is faster than the network you're on, we tell you
• Your current connection details: link speed, frequency, signal strength, standard
• Optional, opt-in network name (SSID) display — your location is never used
• Beautiful dark and light themes, no clutter, no fluff

WHY THIS APP IS DIFFERENT
Most WiFi compatibility checkers in the Play Store rely on stale lists of phone models, which is why their reviews are full of "said my phone supports WiFi 6 but it doesn't." We refuse to do that. WiFi Check is grounded in three live sources only:
1. Android's WifiManager.isWifiStandardSupported() API
2. Your actual WiFi connection events
3. Android's 6 GHz band support API

That is the entire ground truth. No cloud lookup. No model database. No inference from link speed. Just honest WiFi standard verification.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Anyone shopping for a WiFi 7 router or WiFi 6E mesh and wondering "does my phone even support that?"
• IT pros and homelab folks who want a quick capability check on a fleet of Android devices
• Privacy-minded users who refuse to install bloated network analyzers

PRIVACY
WiFi Check does not collect personal information. It does not transmit any data to our servers. Network names, BSSID, and location are never stored. We only remember when each WiFi standard was first verified, locally on your device, so we can show you that on return visits.

PERMISSIONS
• WiFi state and Network state — needed to read your WiFi connection details
• Precise location — only requested if you tap "Show network name". Android requires this permission to reveal the network name on every version we support

ADS
WiFi Check is supported by a single, polite banner ad at the bottom of the main screen. EU users see a consent form on first launch, and you can change your privacy choices any time from the menu. We do not use analytics SDKs.
